President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo at the UEFA Champions League Final in Budapest, May/June 2026
Exclusive chauffeur and security service for the visit of Félix Tshisekedi, President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, to the 2026 UEFA Champions League Final at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest – including VIP transfers, support for the delegation and a visit to Paris Saint-Germain.
From 28 May to 2 June 2026, VIP Mobile was in Budapest to provide support for a high-level delegation from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The focus was on the visit of His Excellency Félix Tshisekedi, President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, to attend the 2026 UEFA Champions League Final at the Puskás Aréna.
The final took place on 30 May 2026 in Budapest. Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal faced off at the Puskás Aréna; the stadium hosted the first Champions League final in Hungary.
Throughout the visit, VIP Mobile provided a discreet, flexible and security-focused transport service – tailored to the requirements of a presidential delegation, the specific security measures surrounding an international sporting event, and last-minute changes to the itinerary on the ground.
Arrival of the delegation in Budapest
VIP Mobile began providing operational support as soon as the delegation arrived in Budapest. Our team coordinated transfers from the airport and the onward journey to the delegation’s accommodation. The focus was on ensuring everything ran smoothly, maintaining discreet communication and coordinating closely with the local security personnel.
High-quality saloon cars and specially armoured vehicles were used for the journeys. The multilingual chauffeurs were on standby throughout the visit and ensured that all transfers were carried out punctually, smoothly and in accordance with protocol.
VIP transfer to the Puskás Aréna
The highlight of the trip was attending the UEFA Champions League final on 30 May 2026 at the Puskás Aréna. The stadium is located east of Budapest city centre and has a capacity of around 67,000. It opened in 2019 and has already hosted major UEFA matches, including the 2023 Europa League final.
VIP Mobile was responsible for ensuring the safe journey of the president and his entourage to the arena, coordinating vehicle movements in the vicinity of the stadium, and organising their departure after the match. Precise operational planning is crucial, particularly at major international events with high security measures – from selecting the routes to coordinating pick-up points.
A visit to Paris Saint-Germain
The programme for the visit also included a trip to Paris Saint-Germain Football Club. PSG reached the final of the 2026 UEFA Champions League against Arsenal and, as defending champions, were once again part of Europe’s premier football event.
VIP Mobile supported this part of the programme with discreet transfers, carefully coordinated waiting times and flexible vehicle allocation. Our team ensured that the President and his delegation were able to attend all their appointments in comfort, safety and without delay.
Support for delegations during their stay
In addition to the official transfers to the stadium and to PSG, the contract included the provision of transport services for a number of journeys within Budapest. These included transfers between hotels, event venues, security zones and private engagements.
Our chauffeurs worked with the utmost discretion and ensured that the vehicles remained in full working order throughout the entire assignment. Flexibility is particularly important when dealing with high-profile international guests: changes to the itinerary, additional accompanying persons or last-minute adjustments must be handled professionally at all times.
The highest security standards at major international events
The assignment in Budapest once again demonstrated what matters most when it comes to VIP transport for state guests: security, reliability, local knowledge and an understanding of protocol. VIP Mobile has many years of experience in providing services to government delegations, embassies, state guests and international VIPs throughout Europe.
By providing services for President Félix Tshisekedi at the 2026 UEFA Champions League Final in Budapest, VIP Mobile is underlining its position as an experienced partner for exclusive chauffeur and security solutions for diplomatic trips, major sporting events and international functions.
